“Pink Out” Sunday
October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!! On Sunday, Sept. 30th, Pilgrim will be sponsoring “Pink Out” Sunday. We invite the entire congregation to wear jeans with pink for a worthy cause. The suggested donation is only $2 (minimum). Let’s finish the fight to end breast cancer!! All proceeds will be targeted to the American Cancer Society. Checks can be made payable to the American Cancer Society.
Women’s Day Annual Celebration Day
The Mission Ministry, Deaconess Ministry, and Ministry Wives are the spiritual leaders of the 2018 Women’s Day. The celebration will be held on Sunday, October 14th at 3p.m. The theme is Women Trusting God’s Promises” Proverbs 33:20-22. The speaker is Elder Lisa Ballard, Sunrise Full Gospel Church, Chicago, IL.
Making Strides Against Breast Cancer
Please join the Pilgrim Team at the Making Strides Breast Cancer walk on Saturday, Oct. 20th at Meadowbrook Park, 2808 S. Race Street in Urbana. The Program/Registration begins at 9 am and the Walk at 10 am. This is a powerful event to raise awareness and funds as we celebrate our survivors, pay tribute to loved ones lost, and raise funds.
Baptist Youth Fellowship (BYF) will have their annual Fall Festival on Saturday, October 27th from 4:00-6:00 p.m. We are asking for candy donations. Boxes will be located at the front door starting in October.
If you are need of transportation for Sunday School, Morning, Service, BYF, Prayer Meeting, Bible Study, Choir Rehearsal, etc., please fill out a form that will be available in the Secretary’s office or call the church at 356-9633 by FRIDAY at 1:00 p.m. of each week. Please make sure you cancel if you do NOT need transportation by FRIDAY.
